ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:  Adolescent male offenders between the ages of 10 through 18 years.

SUMMARY OF SERVICES:             Sex-offender specific treatment to adolescent males.  Services are provided in a residential setting and included sex-offender group counseling, individual and family sessions, behavior management, educational instruction, and skill development in the area of anger management, social interaction, employment preparation, and daily living skills.  Psychiatric overlay services are offered, as well.

SUMMARY OF SERVICES:  ALATEEN is a part of Al-Anon designed specifically for teens that have someone near and important to them who has a drinking problem.  A local group can be started my contacting the Al-Anon family group headquarters Inc.  And completing a registration packet.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:    Adolescents age 13 to 19 years of age for adolescent programs.

SUMMARY OF SERVICES:  Intensive outpatient services for adults and adolescents provided in Dothan.

Oak Mountain Campus is a residential program devoted to meeting the specialized needs of adolescents struggling with mental health and substance abuse issues.  It maintain

s a structured environment designed to challenges, stimulate, and treat teens and their families.  Use of adventure based counseling such as ropes initiatives; canoeing, rock climbing and hiking are incorporated into each program to allow patients to challenge their own self-imposed limits and teaches life skills such as self confidence, trust, decision making, teamwork, and respect for others. 

 

The campus provides a facility-based academic setting in each program that is taught by state of Alabama certified and special Education teachers.  Recreation opportunities; independent living training, transportation, assistance with a job search, assistance with securing medical, visual and dental care, a minimal allowance for food, clothing and supplies.
